Traffic Diversion Plan in Dehradun City –*
1. In case of traffic congestion at Pacific Mall, traffic going to Dilaram from Mussoorie Diversion will be diverted via Indrabhaba Marg, Canal Road, and Great Value Tiraha.
2. In case of traffic congestion at Centrio Mall, traffic going to Dilaram from Annexe Tiraha will be diverted via Annexe Tiraha, CSD Tiraha, and Bindal.
1. In case of traffic congestion at Sahastradhara, vehicles will be diverted to Maldevta Road by placing a barrier at Sahastradhara Market.
2. In case of traffic congestion at Guchhupani, vehicles will be diverted to Supply Chowk by placing a barrier at Guchhupani Tiraha.
*Parking / Traffic Plan in Mussoorie Area*
*Plan A*
Traffic coming towards Mussoorie will be diverted normally from King Craig towards Library and Picture Palace.
Plan B will be implemented when 90 percent of the total available parking capacity in the Mussoorie area is utilized.
*Plan B*
Under this plan, tourist vehicles will be parked at the King Craig parking lot, from where tourists will be transported to their destinations via local taxis.
If the King Craig parking lot is full, Plan C will be implemented.
*Plan C*
Under this plan, traffic will be diverted from Gajji Band via Hathipaon Road to Zero Point, and vehicles will be parked in designated parking spaces along the route.
*Traffic Plan for Rishikesh*
In view of the weekend, the traffic police have prepared a comprehensive traffic plan to ensure smooth and orderly traffic flow. Under this plan, Plan A, Plan B, and Plan C have been developed to manage traffic according to local conditions. These will be implemented in case of excessive traffic congestion.
* Plan A-*
When the traffic pressure reduces, the route will be as follows.
● For the weekend, small and big vehicles coming to Rishikesh from Haridwar National Highway will be routed as follows.
They will be routed via Saptarishi Raiwala Nepali Farm Shyampur Chowki Nataraja Chowk Dhalwala Chowki Bhadrakali Tapovan Tiraha via Bypass Road Tapovan Chowki Brahmapuri Shivpuri to their destination.
● For the weekend, small and big vehicles coming to Rishikesh from Dehradun will be routed.
Dehradun: Routes will be diverted via Nataraja Chowk, Dhalwala Chowki, Bhadrakali, Bypass Road, Tapovan Tiraha, Tapovan Chowki, Brahmapuri, Shivpuri.
* Plan B*
In case of heavy traffic, routes will be diverted via Saptarishi, Raiwala, Nepali Farm, Laltappad, Bhaniyawala, Ranipokhari, Nataraja Chowk, Dhalwala Chowki, Bhadrakali, Bypass Road, Tapovan Tiraha, Tapovan Chowki, Brahmapuri, Shivpuri.
* Plan C* In case of heavy traffic pressure, vehicles will be sent to their destination from Saptarishi, Raiwala, Nepali Farm, Laltappad, Bhaniyawala, Ranipokhari, Gujrada Cut, Narendranagar, Plasda Chowki, Narendranagar, Bhadrakali, Tapovan Tiraha via Bypass Road, Tapovan Chowki, Brahmapuri, Shivpuri.
Tourists returning from the mountainous routes after the weekend and going to Haridwar and beyond will be sent to their destination as follows:
● Shivpuri/ Neelkanth, Brahmapuri Tiraha, Garudchatti, via Bypass Road, Pashulok Barrage, via Cheela, to Haridwar.
After the weekend, tourists returning via mountain routes to Rishikesh or Dehradun will be sent to their destinations as follows:
● They will be sent via Shivpuri, Brahmapuri, Tapovan Chowki, Tapovan Tiraha, Bhadrakali, Dhalwala Chowki, Nataraja Chowk via Bypass Road.
*Diversion Plan*
In case of heavy traffic congestion, heavy vehicles will be diverted from Nepali Farm towards Dehradun and will be allowed to enter Rishikesh only after the night no-entry period is lifted. Heavy vehicles will be able to travel to Rishikesh via Nepali Farm, Laltappad, Bhaniyawala, Ranipokhari, Nataraja Chowk.
In case of heavy traffic pressure, vehicles coming from Munikireti will be diverted towards Shyampur via one-way route from the main Haridwar road. Every vehicle coming from Shyampur will be diverted to the bypass road. Vehicles from Old Toll and Old Bus Stand will also be diverted towards Nataraja Chowk. The Munikireti Rishikesh Haridwar main road will be made one-way only for vehicles going to Shyampur.
A zero zone has been declared for autos/Vikrams from Chandrabhaga Bridge to Jayaram Ashram Tiraha Haridwar Road. During this period, no auto/Vikram will stop to pick up or drop passengers.
In case of heavy traffic pressure, autos and Vikrams will also be diverted to the bypass road from Shyampur Chowki as per Plan-C. Some tourists reach Rishikesh for the weekend through big buses, such buses will be parked in Dhalwala and ISBT parking and will be sent through the prescribed route by small vehicles.
If Dhalwala and ISBT parking are full, the vehicles will be parked in the temporary parking at IDPL and will be sent through the prescribed route by small vehicles.
All the roadways buses come to ISBT from Natraj Chowk via bypass road from Chowki Shyampur Tiraha and the outgoing roadways also go through the same route. Roadways/Garhwal Mandal buses going on the mountain route will be sent through Natraj, Dhalwala bypass road.

*Appeal/Advisory:*
1- Vehicles providing essential services (ambulance, police, fire, etc.) will not be stopped/diverted. Additionally, vehicles providing essential services (petrol, milk, gas, etc.) will be allowed to pass through alternative routes.
2- Vehicles parked in a No Parking Zone will be towed by a traffic crane and necessary medical action will be taken.
3- Be patient, do not use the horn unnecessarily, and follow the instructions of the traffic police.
4- Follow the traffic plan to avoid any inconvenience.
5- Follow the social media pages (Facebook/Instagram/Twitter) of Dehradun Police and Traffic Police for traffic updates.
6- All drivers traveling to Mussoorie/Rishikesh/Dehradun/Vikasnagar on the weekend are requested to follow the information boards (flexes) displayed on the routes.
