🚨 *Uttarakhand STF’s Second Major Operation Within 24 Hours*

♦️ *02 Hardcore Criminals Arrested with 03 Loaded Illegal Pistols and Cartridges*

In furtherance of the directives issued by the Honorable Chief Minister of Uttarakhand—aimed at maintaining robust law and order within the state and taking strict action against criminals—the Director General of Police (DGP), Uttarakhand, Mr. Deepam Seth, has instructed the STF to launch a comprehensive campaign and initiate stringent action against gangsters, criminals, and illegal arms traffickers active within the state.

In line with these instructions, the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), STF, Mr. Ajay Singh, has directed all teams to take strict action against active criminals, gangsters, and networks involved in illegal arms trafficking.

In compliance with these directives, an STF team achieved its second major success within a span of just 24 hours today, March 13, 2026. In a joint operation conducted with the Rudrapur Police, the team arrested 02 notorious criminals, recovering 03 illegal pistols (.315 bore) and 10 live cartridges from their possession. *Arrested Accused*

*Case Details*

Providing information on the matter, Senior Superintendent of Police (STF), Ajay Singh, stated that the STF has dealt a severe blow to an illegal arms network, executing its second major operation within a span of just 24 hours.

During this operation:

✔ A large quantity of illegal weapons and ammunition was recovered.

✔ The network of two criminal gangs active along the U.P.-Uttarakhand border was dismantled.

✔ Several potential major criminal incidents in the Kumaon region were thwarted in the nick of time.

Both arrested individuals are hardened criminals with serious criminal cases registered against them in both states. During the course of the interrogation, significant leads regarding the supply chain of illegal weapons were uncovered; based on these leads, directives have been issued to initiate further major enforcement actions.

The State STF is maintaining continuous surveillance over the activities of active gangsters and criminals within the state, as well as those of notorious offenders currently incarcerated in prisons; effective action against such criminals will continue in the future.
