SSP Pramendar Singh Dobal’s strict strategy in “Operation Prahar” has paid off. Patel Nagar Police arrested the third member of a burglary gang, recovering stolen goods worth lakhs.

Under “Operation Prahar,” a campaign against criminals in the district, Dehradun Police is continuously tightening its grip on criminals. Under the strict guidance and effective strategy of Senior Superintendent of Police, Dehradun, Pramendar Singh Dobal, the Patel Nagar police station has achieved significant success in arresting the third accused wanted in a burglary case and recovering the stolen goods.
According to information, on May 7, 2026, unknown thieves broke into a sanitary shop on Saharanpur Road and stole goods worth approximately ₹3.50 lakh. Police immediately initiated action by registering a case in the Patel Nagar police station.
The police team formed under the direction of SSP Pramod Singh Dobal took prompt action, arresting the first two accused, Vivek Sahni and Sonu, and sending them to jail. During interrogation, the name of the third accused, Abhishek Sahni, emerged, and the police were continuously searching for him.
After persistent efforts, on the night of May 17, 2026, the police team, acting on a tip-off, arrested accused Abhishek Sahni from the street near Doon Medical College. Fifty stolen water taps were recovered from the accused’s possession.
During interrogation, it was also revealed that the accused was wanted in connection with other previous thefts. Following his information, the police recovered a large quantity of stolen goods, including monitors, LED TVs, inverters, batteries, geysers, fans, ceiling lights, and electrical wires.
According to the police, the arrested accused, Abhishek Sahni, is originally from Samastipur, Bihar, and was currently living on rent in the New Patel Nagar area.
Sub-Inspector Praveen Singh Pundir, Sub-Inspector Omveer Singh, Additional Sub-Inspector Mohan Singh, Constable Harish Negi, and Constable Rajdeep Malik played a key role in this successful operation.
Due to the continuous effective action of Doon Police under “Operation Prahar”, an atmosphere of fear has been created among the criminals, while the sense of security has strengthened among the general public.
