The smart automated parking lot under construction in Dehradun city has been completed, and operations have begun at the Coronation and Parade Grounds. Soon, this parking lot will be formally dedicated to the public by the Chief Minister.

This is the state’s first parking lot operated by a women’s self-help group. This parking lot, operated by a women’s self-help group, will be funded by the district administration. These automated parking lots, constructed at three locations in the city: 96 at the Parade Ground, 132 at the Tibetan Market, and 18 at the Coronation Hospital, have begun operating at both the Parade Ground and Coronation Parking lots, and will be formally dedicated to the public.

Following the Chief Minister’s directives and the continued efforts of District Magistrate Savin Bansal, the construction of automated parking lots equipped with modern facilities has been completed in Dehradun district. The District Magistrate’s innovative initiative has not only smartened up the physical infrastructure of the Coronation Hospital campus, but also streamlined the city’s medical system. Considering the city’s increasing traffic, the DM’s project is proving to be a milestone in providing systematic parking facilities in the city. In the pursuit of modernity, automated parking lots are often constructed in a limited space, which is seen as a promising future. While the roads are experiencing heavy traffic congestion, the lack of adequate parking space forces city residents and tourists to park in no-parking zones. In such a situation, this effort by the district administration is being seen as a ray of hope to reduce the pressure on the city’s traffic system. If successful, similar parking spaces will appear in many locations across the city in the future. The biggest advantage of this parking space is that it can be moved from one location to another as needed.
