Dehradun: Former students of Shri Guru Ram Rai (SGRR) Group, Digambar Singh Rawat and Aminder Singh Bisht, have brought Uttarakhand fame internationally through their talent. Recently, in a Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) competition held in Noida, Digambar Singh Rawat displayed a brilliant performance, defeating Indonesia’s Anga to win the title.
On Tuesday, Digambar Singh Rawat and Aminder Singh Bisht bowed their heads and sought blessings at the Darbar of Shri Guru Ram Rai Ji Maharaj. On this occasion, revered Shri Mahant Devendra Das Ji Maharaj wished both players a bright future and honored Digambar with a medal.
Digambar and Aminder received their primary education from Shri Guru Ram Rai Public School, Karnaprayag and Adibadri. Both are now pursuing higher education at Shri Guru Ram Rai University.
It is worth noting that Digambar Singh Rawat and Aminder Singh Bisht have previously excelled in mixed martial arts at several national and international competitions. Representing India in the 70 kg category, Digambar won the title in a recent competition, defeating 28 athletes from 10 countries.
Digambar’s achievement has sparked a wave of joy among the students and faculty of SGRR Group. Both athletes dream of winning a title in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in the future and are continuously working hard to achieve it.
