Director General of Police of Uttarakhand Deepam Seth has given strict guidelines to his subordinates to take concrete action under the special campaign being run for the arrest of reward-carrying miscreants who have been wanted in Uttarakhand for a long time, in compliance of which *Senior Superintendent of Police STF Navneet Singh Bhullar informed that Special Task Force Uttarakhand keeps monitoring the criminals involved in organized crimes and serious crimes and also keeps monitoring all such criminals lodged in the jails of Uttarakhand. In the same sequence, notorious criminal Vineet Sharma alias Chinu Pandit son of Sudesh Sharma resident of West Amber Talab Police Station Ganganahar District Haridwar, who is lodged in Roorkee Sub Jail of Haridwar district, has been imprisoned for the last several years. He has more than 30 cases registered against him for heinous crimes like murder, attempt to murder and kidnapping. He operates a criminal gang while being involved in criminal activities and criminal background. In the year 2014, in a gang war outside Roorkee Sub Jail, 03 persons of Chinu Pandit gang were killed in the said gang war. Confidential information was being received from reliable sources/informers that Chinu Pandit would take revenge through his gang in the near future. Due to which, keeping in view the criminal background and involvement of the said gang in criminal activities, continuous investigation of the criminal activities of its gang members was being done confidentially since last year. That STF got information from reliable sources that Chinu Pandit is going to come out of jail on parole and after coming out of jail, he is going to carry out a big incident along with his gang members and shooters and weapons are being arranged to carry out a big incident in Haridwar. On this, STF manually activated its information system on which 02 criminals were arrested with weapons from Prem Nagar Police Station area of Dehradun district late last night* and on interrogation of the accused, names of other criminals have also come to light in connection with this entire gang, on which further action will be taken accordingly.
