*The accused, who was planning to fraudulently appear for the UKSSSC exam, was arrested by the Doon Police.*
*He had applied for the same exam from three examination centers by falsifying documents.*
*The accused had created fake documents to gain admission as he had passed the age limit for the exam.*
*Based on a complaint received by the UKSSSC, a team formed by the Senior Superintendent of Police registered a case against the accused Surendra at Raipur Police Station for fraudulent conduct with the intention of gaining unfair advantage in the exam.*
On 05-10-25, *Regarding the proposed written examination for Cooperative Inspector, Class-2/Assistant Development Officer to be conducted by the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission*, a letter was sent to the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission to investigate a candidate who was suspected of being a suspect after reviewing the data of the candidates who applied for the exam. In relation to the above letter, a confidential investigation was conducted by Senior Superintendent of Police Dehradun Ajay Singh, then it was found that Surendra Kumar son of Salek Kumar resident of Kanakpur, Bhojpur Modinagar, Ghaziabad Uttar Pradesh, who had applied for appearing in the said examination, had filled 03 different forms from 03 different mobile numbers. On detailed confidential investigation of Surendra Kumar’s form and the certificates sent to the Commission by the police, it was found that the candidate had got himself registered for the examination from different examination centres by using fake certificates for the application of the examination. In the detailed police investigation, it was found that Surendra Kumar had attached fake certificates for the examination with the intention of fraud to take unfair advantage in the written examination for Cooperative Inspector, Class-2/Assistant Development Officer conducted by UKSSSC. In connection with the prima facie allegation of cheating by accused Surendra with the intention of gaining unfair advantage in the examination, SOG in-charge Inspector Mukesh Tyagi registered a case against accused Surendra at Raipur Police Station, FIR No. 311/25 under Sections 318(4), 336(3), 340(2) BNS.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Dehradun, Ajay Singh issued necessary instructions to different police teams formed to detain the accused for detailed interrogation to unravel the above case. In compliance with the given instructions, the police team detained accused Surendra Kumar, son of Salek Kumar, resident of Kanakpur, Bhojpur Modinagar, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, age 30, for questioning.
Interrogation Details*: During interrogation, accused Surendra told that he is originally a resident of Kanakpur, Bhojpur Modinagar, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh and currently resides with his parents and wife in Pilkhua, Hapur. The accused holds a BA and works as a private teacher at a private school in Pilkhua, Hapur. His wife also works as a teacher at the same school. The accused stated that his actual date of birth is 01-04-1988. He completed his intermediate education in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh, in 2007. When he reached the age limit for government employment, he returned to Ghazipur in 2012 for high school and 2014 for intermediate education. The accused reduced his date of birth to 01-01-1995. In 2012, he completed his BA from Rajasthan and again in 2018 from Solan, Himachal Pradesh. The accused was preparing for competitive examinations, and therefore, he systematically submitted a lower age in his records and applied to three different examination centers: Tehri, Haridwar, and Dehradun. After detailed questioning of the accused, legal action was initiated against him.
