Doon Police takes big action against White Collar Criminals, case filed against 7 under Gangster Act

  • *More than one and a half dozen cases of land fraud and other crimes have been registered against the accused in Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Punjab.*

  • Senior Superintendent of Police Dehradun Ajay Singh has directed all the station in-charges to take effective action under the Gangster Act against the accused involved in land fraud in their respective police station areas and to identify the properties illegally acquired by the accused and take action for its confiscation.
  • In the same sequence, FIR No. 76/24 Section 420/406/467/ 468/471/120 (B) IPC vs Sanjeev Kumar, Sanjay Gupta and others was registered at Police Station Rajpur, in which the accused had cheated the plaintiff Govind Singh Pundir resident of village Rikholi, Police Station Cantt, Dehradun and grabbed crores of rupees in lieu of selling land and the accused were continuously absconding since the registration of the case.
  • Taking effective action in the above case, Rajpur police had earlier arrested gang member Mohd Adnan son of late Mohd Gufran from Saharanpur on 14-07-24, Amjad Ali son Yunus Ali, Sharad Garg son Sanjeev Garg, Sahil son Sanjay Kumar from Uttar Pradesh and Haryana on 19-07-24 and accused Ranveer was arrested and sent to jail. Also, the main member of the gang Baba Amrik was arrested from Himachal Pradesh on 20/09/24 and accused Sanjay Gupta was arrested from the court premises Dehradun on 23/09/24. The kingpin of the above gang, Sanjeev Kumar, was arrested by the police team on 30/09/29 near Mohand. The above seven accused are currently in judicial custody. During the investigation of the case, it came to light that all the above accused were regularly involved in land fraud and many cases related to land fraud were registered against the accused in the states of Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana etc. and it was also learnt that gang leader Sanjeev Kumar had formed an organized gang and committed serious criminal incidents related to fraud in various states. On which Senior Superintendent of Police Dehradun Ajay Singh directed to take strict action against all the members of the gang. Taking effective action on the said instructions, Rajpur Police has registered a case under Gangster Act in Police Station Rajpur against all the 07 accused including the kingpin of Baba Amrik gang.
  • The properties illegally acquired by all the members of the gang are also being identified by the police, the process of confiscation of which will be ensured.

  • 5- Amjad Ali son of Yunus Ali resident of Kamelpur Post Office Chhutmalpur, Police Station Fatehpur, District Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh.
