Uttarakhand Chief Minister’s “Operation Prahar” is taking a tough stand against criminals

*Chief Minister of Uttarakhand’s “Operation Prahar” is taking a strong action against criminals*

*Under “Operation Prahar,” Doon Police has taken extensive action against criminals in the past four days*

*Police arrested 15 accused involved in criminal activities in the past four days*

*Police arrested 65 wanted accused, including 47 warrants*

*A total of 114 anti-social elements, including 41 rioters who created a ruckus in a public place, and legal action was taken against them*

*During the campaign, 1,621 suspects were verified, with 25 suspects detained; action was taken against 645 individuals under the Police Act*

*Challan action was taken against 886 drivers for violating traffic rules*

*88 individuals were arrested for drunk driving/rash driving *199 vehicles were arrested and seized for violating traffic rules.*

*During the campaign, police conducted surprise inspections of 300 pubs/bars/clubs/hotels/dhabas. Six establishment operators were arrested and charged for violating rules.*

*During the operation, two establishments were completely closed and legal action was taken against 24 other individuals.*

On the instructions of the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, *”Operation Prahar”* is being conducted across the state to effectively take action against those involved in criminal activities, as well as those with criminal backgrounds who have migrated from other states. Under the campaign, on the instructions of the SSP Dehradun, the police are continuously taking large-scale action against those involved in criminal activities and those with criminal backgrounds in the urban and rural areas of the district.

During the operation, police arrested 15 individuals involved in criminal activities and 41 individuals disrupting public order by creating a ruckus in public places, along with 114 anti-social elements over the past four days. During the operation, police teams conducted surprise raids to apprehend wanted individuals, resulting in the arrest of a total of 65 wanted individuals, including 47 warrantees from various police station areas across the district.

 

As part of the operation, police verified a total of 1,621 individuals in various police station areas, and took legal action under the Police Act against 645 individuals for failing to verify their tenants, drinking alcohol in public places, and violating traffic rules. During this period, 25 suspects were detained at 170 BNSS, and two individuals were arrested with illegal weapons, and charges were registered against them.

 

Under Operation Prahar, police conducted intensive checking operations in all police station areas. During this period, while taking challan action against 886 drivers for violating traffic rules, 88 drivers were arrested for drunk and drive/rash driving and 199 vehicles were seized for violating traffic rules.

During checking of hotels/dhabas/bars/pubs etc. in the urban and rural areas of the district, surprise raids were conducted by the police in a total of 300 establishments. During this, cases were registered against 06 establishment operators for violation of rules and 02 establishments were completely closed by the police. During this, necessary preventive action was taken against 24 persons.
