SI beat up a poor teenager badly SSP will have to answer

A poor teenager who was setting up a shop at the Dussehra fair outside Parade Ground in Dehradun was brutally beaten by the sub-inspector posted at Dalanwala police station and all his belongings were thrown here and there and he was asked to run away from there immediately. This is clearly a violation of the human rights of the poor teenager. Human rights, RTI and social activist Bhupendra Kumar Laxmi filed a PIL in the Human Rights Commission of Uttarakhand in the above case and requested that “a poor teenager who had gone to set up a shop at the Dussehra fair outside Parade Ground in Dehradun was brutally beaten with a stick by the sub-inspector posted at Dalanwala police station and not only this, all the belongings of that poor teenager were also thrown here and there by the sub-inspector and he was asked to run away from there immediately”.

“On receiving information about this incident, Uttarakhand Sikh Coordination Committee member Ranjeet Singh reached the spot and said that the victim is from a poor family and runs his family by setting up small shops in fairs”.

A complaint has been given to CO Dalanwala Ashish Bhardwaj in this matter, he had assured to take immediate action against the inspector but till date no action seems to be taken in this matter, the officers may try to save the guilty inspector. Whereas in this very serious matter, immediate departmental action should have been taken against the guilty inspector and a case should have been registered against him, like it is done against common people for assault etc.

Therefore, it is requested to the Honorable Sir that the subject of the complaint is very serious and is clearly related to the violation of human rights of the poor teenager, therefore, in the interest of public interest and justice, please direct immediate action against the guilty inspector, call for a report and take action, please provide justice to the victim poor teenager and also compensate for his loss because it is not known how he would be managing his household due to the inspector throwing his belongings here and there.
