Shri Guru Ram Rai University Sports Festival Day 3

The third day of the Shri Guru Ram Rai University Sports Festival 2025 featured cricket, badminton, volleyball, table tennis, and basketball competitions. In the girls’ basketball competition, the School of Nursing defeated the School of Management and Commerce Studies. In the girls’ cricket competition, the School of Basic and Applied Science captured the final trophy.

On Wednesday, the final girls’ cricket match was played between Nursing and the School of Basic and Applied Science. The School of Basic and Applied Science won the toss and elected to field. Nursing had a strong start, scoring 29 runs in the first three overs and setting a target of 62 runs in the allotted overs. In response, the School of Basic and Applied Science also made a strong start, scoring 31 runs without loss in the first three overs. Thus, the School of Basic and Applied Sciences won the final match by losing 1 wicket with 4 balls remaining.

 

In the boys’ volleyball category, the School of Humanities and Social Sciences defeated the School of Basic and Applied Sciences 21-18, 21-19. In the girls’ singles table tennis match, Anshika Rawat of the School of Basic and Applied Sciences defeated Babli Rawat of the School of Management. In the boys’ table tennis singles match, Vikhyat of the School of Paramedical and Allied Health Sciences defeated Chandrabhan Singh of the School of Medical and Health Sciences.

In the boys’ basketball match, the School of Humanities defeated the School of Engineering and Technology.

In the girls’ basketball match, the School of Nursing team defeated the School of Management. In the badminton boys singles, Abhishek of School of Engineering defeated Tanishq of School of Pharmacy, while in the girls singles, Naysa of School of Basic and Applied Health Sciences defeated Priya of School of Management to win the match.
