Shri Darbar Sahib’s parking will provide relief from the jam at Tehsil Chowk
Dehradun: Tehsil Chowk is one of the busiest and most crowded intersections of the city. Every day, this square has to face jams and long queues of vehicles. The limited parking facility at Tehsil Chowk is also a big reason for this. People park their two-wheelers and four-wheelers here and there on the roadside. Due to lack of proper parking, haphazard vehicles are increasing the problem of jam. Shri Guru Ram Rai Darbar Sahib will now provide relief from this problem. Shri Darbar Sahib Management Committee has taken a big initiative in this direction.
The land owned by Shri Guru Ram Rai Darbar Sahib is located at the old Tehsil. Shri Guru Ram Rai Darbar Sahib is building an automated multi-story parking on this land. This automated multi-story parking will provide great relief from the jam at Tehsil Chowk. Detailed information was given in this regard by Shri Darbar Sahib Management Committee. The team of architects and engineers of Shri Darbar Sahib has inspected the parking space. The management committee has clarified that the necessary planning for building a parking lot on the land owned by Shri Darbar Sahib in the old tehsil has been completed. The work of building the parking lot will begin soon. In the next few months, the automated multi-story parking lot will be dedicated to the public. At present, temporary parking for buses, trucks, cars and scooters has been started.
This initiative of Shri Darbar Sahib has been welcomed by the dignitaries of the city and various social service organizations.
