Regional party met Energy Secretary regarding recruitments
Rashtriya Regional Party met Energy Secretary Meenakshi Sundaram to organize recruitments for the vacant posts in Energy Corporation and also submitted a memorandum to her in this regard.
Nationalist Regional Party’s National President Shivprasad Semwal said that he requested Energy Secretary Meenakshi Sundaram for immediate recruitment on about 1200 posts in Energy Corporations. He listened to the whole matter carefully and assured to take action in this direction.
Shiv Prasad Semwal said that there has been no recruitment on the posts of UPCL and Pitkul JE and technical grade since 2016. Thousands of candidates are continuously becoming over age. Apart from this, he also requested to end the compulsion of technical experience in the interest of unemployed with diploma and ITI pass.
It is worth noting that the last notification for the vacant posts of Junior Engineer (JE) and Technician Grade-II (TG-2) in UPCL and PTCUL of Energy Corporation came in the year 2016. Due to no notification for the vacant posts of Junior Engineer (JE) and Technician Grade-II (TG-2) in UPCL and PTCUL of Energy Corporation in the last 8 years after 2016 till today 2024, injustice is being done to thousands of diploma and ITI holders.
Shiv Prasad Semwal, citing an RTI, said that according to the latest RTI, more than 200 posts of Junior Engineer (JE) and more than 1000 posts of Technician Grade-II (TG-2) are vacant in UPCL and PTCUL.
Nationalist Regional Party has made this demand
* For the last 8 years (since 2016), Uttarakhand Power Corporation Limited (UPCL) and Power Transmission Corporation of Uttarakhand Limited (PTCUL) should soon issue a notification for the vacant (1200+) posts of Junior Engineer (JE) and Technician Grade-II (TG-2).
* The recruitment process should be completed within 3 to 5 months of the release of the notification and the result should be declared and joining should be given soon.
* The requirement of 2 years of experience for the post of Technician Grade-II (TG-2) should be abolished.
* Like the energy corporations of neighboring states Himachal Pradesh (HPPCL), Punjab (PSPCL) and Uttar Pradesh (UPPCL), Uttarakhand should also bring recruitment for the vacant posts of Junior Engineer (JE) and Technician Grade 2 (TG-2) in the energy corporations (UPCL, PTCUL, UJVN) every 2 years.
Shiv Prasad Semwal said that the Energy Secretary has a positive response on this matter. He has assured that action will be taken and continuous hearing will be done regarding the recruitment.
