*In view of the expected large influx of tourists to Dehradun during the upcoming winter travel/tourism season/Christmas/New Year and school holidays, action will be taken against those holding demonstrations, processions, rallies, etc., at restricted intersections/locations.*
*Organizers holding demonstrations, processions, rallies, etc., without permission will be prosecuted under Section 223 of the BNS (Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita).*
Considering the expected large number of tourists visiting Dehradun and surrounding tourist destinations during the upcoming winter travel/tourism season/Christmas/New Year and school holidays, and the inconvenience caused to the general public due to traffic congestion resulting from frequent demonstrations and processions in the city during the ongoing wedding season, organizing demonstrations, processions, rallies, etc., raising slogans, or using loudspeakers without permission at Ghantaghar, Gandhi Park, Parade Ground and its surrounding areas, Kanak Chowk, Ashley Hall Chowk, Darshan Lal Chowk, Tehsil Chowk, and Buddha Chowk, etc., will result in legal action being taken against the concerned organizers under Section 223 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
All these locations were previously restricted for demonstrations, processions, rallies, etc., under Section 163 (1) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita 2023.
