Under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the state government has developed e-governance as a strong foundation to make the functioning of governance and administration more transparent, simple, and people-centric. Through this system, not only is the quick resolution of public problems ensured, but transparency in government work is also increasing.
Through various online services and public welfare portals launched in the capital Dehradun, common citizens are now registering applications, complaints, and suggestions from the comfort of their homes. The use of digital technology is ensuring direct access to government services for citizens and saving them time and resources.
Under e-governance, services such as the online grievance redressal system, Jan Sunwai portal, digital certificate services, e-District portal, RTI online portal, Rozgar Prayag portal, Bhudev app, and departmental apps like CM Helpline 1905, e-Transport, and Apni Sarkar portal are available to citizens. This has reduced visits to government offices and curbed corruption.
In the case of Devendra Singh, who availed of the e-service for old-age pension, his daughter Sonia Rawat said that the income certificate was received online within 15 days, saving them from having to visit government offices.
Chief Development Officer Abhinav Shah said that the administration is also working rapidly towards digital governance, and now more and more certificates and applications for public welfare schemes have been made available online. The first phase of applications for all agriculture-related schemes under the district plan has also been made available online.
The e-governance system is proving effective not only for urban but also for rural citizens, ensuring accountability and timely resolution of government services.
