*Dehradun: Doon Police’s verification campaign conducted on a large scale in the city and rural areas of the district*
*Verification of outsiders/tenants and domestic workers was done.
*Outsiders living without verification were brought to the police station for questioning by the police*
*Challan was done under the Police Act against 394 ,landlords who did not get their tenants verified, fine of more than Rs 39 lakh was imposed*.
*During the campaign, 262 contractual persons who could not show any valid documents were brought to the police station and questioned, 146 persons were challaned under the Police Act*.
As per the instructions of Senior Superintendent of Police Dehradun, today on 23/06/2024 morning, a large scale verification campaign was conducted by the police along with PAC force in the city and rural areas of the district for the verification of outsiders/tenants residing in the district, during the campaign, the police formed different teams with PAC and verified the outsiders, tenants, domestic servants and others residing in the district During this period, challan proceedings were conducted against 394 house owners who did not get their tenants verified under 83 Police Act and a fine of Rs. 39,40,000 was imposed. 262 suspicious persons who could not show any valid documents on the spot were brought to the police stations for questioning. After their verification proceedings, challan proceedings were conducted against 146 persons under 81 Police Act and a composition fee of Rs. 39,250 was collected.
