Major reshuffle in Uttarakhand police department: 20 IPS/PPS officers transferred

The Uttarakhand government on Friday carried out a major administrative reshuffle in the police department, issuing transfer/posting orders for 20 Indian Police Service (IPS) and Provincial Police Service (PPS) officers. According to the order, the officers have been assigned new responsibilities with immediate effect.
According to the list, the jurisdictions of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) and Superintendent of Police (SP) level officers in several districts have been changed. Some officers have been transferred from districts to headquarters and special branches, while others have been given command of important districts.
The major changes included in the list include police officers from Haridwar, Dehradun, Udham Singh Nagar, Almora, Bageshwar, Pithoragarh, Champawat, Rudraprayag, and other districts. The government has clarified that all officers will assume charge at their new postings with immediate effect.
The order also mentioned that the joining certificate will be made available to the government through the Director General of Police, Uttarakhand.
