On December 26, 2025, the complainant, Darwin Gautam, son of Sushil Kumar, resident of Ishwar Vihar, Tapovan Road, Raipur, filed a complaint at Raipur Police Station regarding an incident on December 25, 2025, where the accused, Amar Kant (Dola), Adviya Antival, Tushar Verma, Aman Dobriyal, Amit Sharma, and Kishan Singh, acting in concert, assaulted and verbally abused his brother with the intention of killing him, resulting in serious injuries to his brother. Based on the complaint, a case was registered at Raipur Police Station under sections 109(1), 191(2), and 352 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
Considering the seriousness of the incident, a police team was formed on the instructions of *SSP Dehradun Ajay Singh*. The team gathered information regarding the incident, checked CCTV footage near the crime scene, and questioned local residents. On December 26, 2025, the five accused involved in the assault on the young man were arrested from the Raipur area: (1) Amar Kant Dola, son of Shri Kant (2) Kishan Singh, son of late Pancham Singh (3) Aditya Antival, son of Amar Kant (4) Tushar Verma, son of Dilip Kumar Verma (5) Amit Sharma, son of late Chandra Prakash Sharma. During questioning, the accused stated that on December 25, 2025, they had an argument with Divya Gautam, during which they assaulted him, striking him several times on the head with a knife and an iron rod. The knife and iron rod used in the incident were recovered based on the information provided by the accused.
