A juice vendor outside the SSP office in Dehradun was trying to spread disease among customers by using the same cloth he used to clean his private parts to sell juice. It’s unknown how many people may have unknowingly consumed juice from his shop, but the police simply issued a challan and let him go, whereas strict legal action should have been taken against him.
Dehradun: A man named Bilawal, who was selling juice outside the Senior Superintendent of Police office, was using the same cloth he used to clean his private parts to sell juice.
This incident is reported to have taken place on Saturday, 04/10/2025. This man named Bilawal runs a juice cart at the Court intersection outside the SSP office. A young woman saw him doing this shameful act. When the woman questioned him about his actions, the accused said he was cleaning a boil on his lower abdomen.
After the city police were informed of the incident, the Cheetah Police arrived at the scene and brought the juice vendor to the police station. They seized his cart and issued him a fine. He was released after issuing a fine. The police stated that he would not set up his cart there again.
In the above case, social, RTI, and human rights activist Bhupendra Kumar Laxmi filed a complaint with the Human Rights Commission of Uttarakhand, requesting that this was a very serious matter because the juice seller, named Bilawal, was using the same cloth he used to clean his private parts to sell the juice. It is unknown how many people may have unknowingly consumed juice from his shop. However, the police merely issued a fine and let him go. Strict legal action should have been taken against him. Please, in the public interest, issue orders for strict action, call for a report, and take action.
Acting on a public interest complaint, IPS Ram Singh Meena, a member of the Human Rights Commission, Uttarakhand, issued orders directing the Senior Superintendent of Police, Dehradun, to take action.
