On Tuesday, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami watched the much-discussed film ‘The Kerala Story 2’ at the Mall of Dehradun. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister stated that this film serves as a powerful medium for raising awareness by shedding light on sensitive events unfolding within society.
The Chief Minister affirmed that the State Government remains fully committed to the safety of women, social harmony, and population balance. He noted that Uttarakhand has become the first state in the country to undertake a historic initiative by implementing the Uniform Civil Code (UCC)—a move that is set to prove a milestone in ensuring equality and justice within society.
The Chief Minister further mentioned that a stringent anti-conversion law has been enacted in the state, which has effectively curbed incidents of illegal and forced conversions. He clarified that such laws serve to strengthen transparency, security, and trust within society.
