Bouncer, Bangladeshi Mamun alias Sachin and his wife arrested by Doon Police

*Major action by Doon Police under Operation Kalnemi, initiated by the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand*

*A Bangladeshi citizen illegally residing in Doon using fake names, addresses, Aadhaar cards, PAN cards, and other identity cards was arrested by Doon Police*

*A woman from Tyuni, who was living as the wife of a Bangladeshi citizen by making fake identity cards, was also arrested by Doon Police*

*The Bangladeshi citizen came in contact with the Tyuni resident woman through Facebook*

*The accused had previously visited India three times on a tourist visa to meet the woman*

*In 2022, the accused and the accused had illegally crossed the border into Bangladesh and returned to India again from Bangladesh in 2022*

*The accused currently works as a bouncer at a club in Dehradun using a fake identity card belonging to Sachin Chauhan*

*Some of the accused All of the accused’s (Bangladeshi national) fake certificates were obtained in the name of her ex-husband through collusion with others.*

*Some individuals who assisted the accused in obtaining the fake certificates are also on the police radar.*

*Taking action under Operation Kalnemi, the police have so far taken action against 16 Bangladeshi nationals illegally residing in the district.*

*Nine Bangladeshi nationals have been deported.*

*A case has been registered against seven Bangladeshi nationals and they have been sent to jail.*

Currently, under Operation Colony, being run on the instructions of the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Dehradun Police is continuously taking action against individuals living in the district by changing their names and addresses illegally and fraudulently, by conducting intensive checking campaigns on the instructions of the Senior Superintendent of Police, Dehradun.

In accordance with the instructions, Nehru Colony Police Station and LIU Dehradun received information on 20-11-2025 that a Bangladeshi man, who had illegally crossed the border and entered India, was living with a woman in the Nehru Colony area. Upon detaining the two suspects, the woman and the man were interrogated. The man in custody revealed his real name as Mamun Hasan, son of Md. Ali Yasin, resident of Anandovas, Police Station Mujibnagar, District Meherpur, Bangladesh, and the woman revealed her name as Reena Chauhan, daughter of Shri Vishwajeet Singh, resident of Tutar Post, Birnad, Tehsil Tyuni, District Dehradun.

 Upon strict questioning, the accused, Reena, revealed that she is currently living on rent with Mamun Hasan in Alaknanda Enclave, Nehru Colony, and that she has made fake Indian identity cards for Mamun Hasan in the name of her former husband, Sachin Chauhan, and that they are currently living with Mamun Hasan (Sachin Chauhan) as husband and wife. A case has been registered against the accused and the accused under sections 420/467/468/471/120B of the Indian Penal Code, sections 3 of the Passport (Entry into India) Act, 1920, and 14 of the Foreigners Act at Nehru Colony police station for conspiring to obtain fake Indian identity cards and illegally reside in India. The accused and the accused have been arrested. Fake certificates/identity cards and other important documents have been recovered from their possession. Those who helped the accused and the accused in making fake identity cards are also on the police radar. Strict action will be taken against them as well. *Interrogation Details:*

Upon questioning, the accused revealed his name as Mamun Hasan, son of Md. Ali Yasin, resident of Anandovas, Police Station Mujibnagar, District Meherpur, Bangladesh, and the accused revealed his name as Reena Chauhan, daughter of Shri Vishwajeet Singh, resident of Tutar Post, Birnad, Tehsil Tyuni, currently tenant and landlord, Anuj Bisht, Alaknanda Enclave, Phase 2, Nehru Colony, District Dehradun.

The accused stated that he had met the accused through Facebook. Following this, the accused traveled to India from Bangladesh on a tourist visa in 2019 to meet her and met Reena in Dehradun. He stayed with her for two months and returned to Bangladesh after her visa expired. Subsequently, the accused returned to India on a tourist visa in 2020 and 2021, and returned to Bangladesh after her visa expired during the COVID-19 pandemic. He also illegally took Reena across the border to Bangladesh. They claimed to have married. After some time, the accused and the woman illegally crossed the border and returned to India, living as husband and wife on rent at different locations in Dehradun. Accused Reena stated that she is a resident of Tyuni/Dehradun and was previously married to Sachin Chauhan, a resident of Tyuni. They began living separately. Reena met Mamun on Facebook, and Mamun came to India with a visa to meet Reena. They lived together on rent at different locations in Dehradun. After that, they traveled to Bangladesh. After marrying, they illegally crossed the border and returned to India and began living in different rental locations in Dehradun. Reena, with the help of some acquaintances, obtained fake identity cards for Mamun Hasan in the name of her former husband, Sachin Chauhan, and they began living together as husband and wife under the names of Sachin Chauhan and Reena. Mamun Hasan began working as a bouncer at a club in Dehradun using the name and identity card of Sachin Chauhan.
