The doors of Lord Badrinath were opened for devotees for the summer season at 6:15 am on Thursday, accompanied by rituals and Vedic chanting. Upon opening, the entire Badrinath shrine was filled with devotion and reverence. On this auspicious occasion, approximately 15,000 devotees from across the country and abroad gathered to receive the blessings of Lord Badri Vishal and the Akhand Jyoti.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami performed the first Mahabhishek Puja in the name of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the auspicious occasion of the opening of the doors and prayed for the prosperity and well-being of the country and the state. During this, the Chief Minister performed the rituals and offered prayers at the Lakshmi Temple, Ganesh Temple, and other temples located in the temple complex, including the Adi Guru Shankaracharya Gaddi.

The Chief Minister extended a warm welcome and greeting to the pilgrims who arrived at the shrine and also took feedback on the travel arrangements. He stated that the state government has made extensive preparations to ensure a safe, smooth, and well-organized Chardham Yatra. Arrangements have been strengthened at every level to ensure the convenience, safety, and improved experience of the pilgrims.

 

The Chief Minister appealed to all pilgrims from India and abroad to cooperate in a green and clean Chardham Yatra and also conveyed the message of environmental protection.

 

With the commencement of the Chardham Yatra, a wonderful confluence of faith, tradition, and well-organized arrangements was witnessed at Badrinath Dham, which will be a divine and memorable experience for the pilgrims.

 

A Glimpse of Folk Culture: Badrinath Dham Rejoices at the Jagars*

On this historic occasion of the opening of the doors, women from Mana and Bamni villages performed the Jhumailo dance in the temple courtyard along with traditional Jagars, imbuing the entire atmosphere with the spirit of folk culture and faith. Devotees from various parts of the country also offered their devotions by singing bhajans and kirtans.

 

 *Inaugurated the Bhandara, took prasad with the devotees*

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated the Bhandara being run at the Dham by cutting the ribbon and took prasad with the devotees. He interacted with the Bhandara operators, inquired about the arrangements, and praised the huge Bhandara run by the Manav Seva Ishwar Seva Utthan Samiti.

On this occasion, District Magistrate Gaurav Kumar, Superintendent of Police Surjeet Singh Panwar, BKTC CEO Vishal Mishra, Vice President Rishi Prasad Sati, Rawal Amarnath Namboodri, Chief Administrative Officer Girish Chauhan, Temple Officer Rajendra Chauhan, Naib Rawal Suryarag Namboodri, Dharmadhikari Swayamvar Semwal, Vedpathi Ravindra Bhatt, Acharya Vani Vilas Dimri, along with many dignitaries and a large number of devotees were present.
