Dehradun, March 18, 2026 (Information Department): To mark the completion of four years of the State Government, assembly-wise programs are being organized across the entire state, including Dehradun district. Today, District Magistrate Savin Bansal convened a meeting with concerned officials at the Rishiparna Auditorium to review the preparations and arrangements for the successful organization of the main program proposed for the district. While conducting a detailed review of the program preparations, the District Magistrate issued necessary directives. During the main event, scheduled to be held at the Parade Ground, the Tibetan Market Automated Parking facility, a Cab Service, and a modern Intensive Care Center will be formally inaugurated and unveiled. Additionally, the laying of foundation stones for various development works under different public welfare schemes is also proposed.

During the meeting, the District Magistrate directed all departmental officials to set up stalls representing their respective departments at the venue and ensure widespread publicity and dissemination of information regarding the ongoing public welfare schemes, so that the general public may become aware of and avail the benefits of these initiatives. Furthermore, instructions were issued to designate a Nodal Officer at the assembly level for each program and directed all officials to work in close mutual coordination.

The District Magistrate directed the Chief Medical Officer to set up separate stalls at the venue for general health check-ups, vaccinations, and health screenings specifically for women and young girls. The Social Welfare Department was directed to establish a setup for the DDRC (District Disability Rehabilitation Centre) at the venue and to ensure arrangements for the issuance of disability certificates and the distribution of necessary assistive devices to persons with disabilities.

Additionally, the Electricity Department was directed to ensure an uninterrupted power supply; the Water Corporation was instructed to make adequate arrangements for clean drinking water; and the District Supply Officer was directed to ensure arrangements for refreshments during the program. The Public Works Department (PWD) was directed to complete the construction of the stage, barricading, and other necessary arrangements at the venue within a stipulated timeframe. The Municipal Corporation was directed to ensure proper sanitation arrangements, while the Police Department was instructed to make adequate arrangements regarding security, traffic management, and parking.

The District Magistrate directed all officials to ensure that all necessary preparations and arrangements at the venue are completed in a timely manner. He stated that this event serves as a significant opportunity to disseminate the government’s achievements to the general public; therefore, it should be organized in a grand and well-coordinated manner.

Present on this occasion were Chief Development Officer Abhinav Shah, Superintendent of Police (City) Pramod Kumar, Joint Magistrate Praveen, City Magistrate Pratyush Singh, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (Sadar) Harigiri, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Kumkum Joshi, Chief Education Officer Vinod Kumar Dhoundiyal, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Manoj Sharma, Director of the Rural Development Agency Vikram Singh, District Development Officer Sunil Kumar, Executive Engineer (PWD) O.P. Singh, Divisional Transport Officer Deepak Saini, District Social Welfare Officer Dipankar Ghildiyal, District Supply Officer K.K. Agarwal, District Probation Officer Meena Bisht, and District Program Officer (Child Development) Jitendra Kumar, along with officials from other concerned departments.
