*The colors of Holi shone at the CM’s residence amidst the tunes of folk songs*
*Artists from Garhwal-Kumaon to Jaunsar gathered for the Holi Milan program**
The Chief Minister’s residence was abuzz with the colors of Holi on Monday.
Folk artists and Holi revelers from across the state brought a festive atmosphere to the event with their melodies. On one side, there were Jaunsari artists performing the Harul dance, while on the other, a team of Kumaoni Holi revelers sang Holi songs, immersed in their own tunes. Amidst all this, a cultural group from the Rath region of Pauri district also made its presence felt. During this time, both the public and the elite applied colors to Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and extended their greetings.
The courtyard of the Chief Minister’s residence was awash with the colors of Holi on Monday. This also reflected the cultural richness and unity of the state. From the morning onwards, groups of folk artists and cultural workers from across the state continued arriving at the CM’s residence, singing Holi songs. On one side, there was Holi singing and dancing from Garhwal-Kumaon to Jaunsar. During this time, Holi songs resounded. Traditional singing took place. Dhols and cymbals were played. The accompaniment of traditional musical instruments further enhanced the impact of the Holi songs. While artists from Kumaon invoked “Aao Dagdiyo, Nacha Gaava, Aa Gayi Rangili Holi,” artists from the Rath region sang “Aai Dandu Basant, Dali Ma Maulyar.”
Everyone present was immersed in the colors of the folk music. Folk culture also had the influence that gives Uttarakhand its cultural uniqueness. The folk artists were delighted to have been specially invited. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami was also seen fully immersed in the colors of Holi along with the folk artists. The Chief Minister himself was compelled to dance with them.

Folk artists from various parts of Uttarakhand expressed their appreciation for the CM’s work on folk culture. The state government is promoting folk culture and providing patronage to folk artists.
