Dehradun: Principals play an important role in making school education successful. Principals play an important role in educational leadership and annual educational plan. Principals also play the most important role in planning any school. What are the main qualities and skills an effective educational leader should have, these points were discussed in detail in the annual convention.
In the annual convention of principals of SGRR public schools run by Shri Guru Ram Rai Education Mission, the speakers mainly highlighted these points. In the program based on the topic Principal is an educational leader, important points like role, responsibility and policy making of principals were discussed.
The program organized in the auditorium of Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital was inaugurated by Chief Guest Manish Agarwal, Regional Officer, CBSE, Special Guest Veena Rawat, Life Member, SGRR Education Mission, Vijay Nautiyal, Authorized Signatory Manager, SGRR Education Mission, Vinay Mohan Thapliyal, Education Officer, SGRR Education Mission Manoj Jakhmola, Chief Finance Controller, SGRR Education Mission, G.S. Tomar, Education Officer, SGRR Education Mission by lighting the lamp and garlanding the picture of Brahmalin Shrimahant Indiresh Charan Das Ji Maharaj.
More than 100 school principals of SGRR schools operating in the states of Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Delhi etc. participated in the annual convention. On this occasion, there was also a discussion on making the Accounts Department, ESIC and EPF of the schools better. The students of SGRR Public School Patel Nagar made the program devotional by reciting Saraswati Vandana. Vijay Nautiyal, Authorized Signatory Manager SGRR Education Mission started the program with a welcome address. He specially congratulated the topper students of SGRR Public Schools and their principals in the CBSE board exam results.
Chief Guest Manish Agarwal, Regional Officer Dehradun said that the format of teaching has changed in the current environment. After the advent of Artificial Intelligence, a challenge has also come for educationists. Today, teachers need to be more updated as compared to the old times. Today is the era of Artificial Intelligence. Teachers will have to get continuous training and technical skills as per the demand of the time. He stressed that 10th marks and exam results have always been important from the point of view of students, parents and schools, 10th results are important but it is also not completely true that these results will decide the direction of the student’s entire life. Teachers should help students to get out of this stress.
Special guest of the program, Veena Rawat, Life Member, Shri Guru Ram Rai Education Mission said that Mission’s Chairman Srimahant Devendra Das Ji Maharaj is a source of inspiration for all of us as an efficient administrator. This is the reason that SGRR schools get the right direction, the school principals are able to contribute 100 percent in progressive works by creating smooth coordination in teaching administrative work.
Kavita Singh, Principal, SGRR Public School, Talab gave information about educational leadership and annual educational plan. Sandipana Jaiswal, Principal, SGRR Public School, Bombay Bagh explained in detail the role of the school principal in educational leadership. D.P. Vijlavan, Principal, SGRR Public School, Jhankpuri, Gajraula shared knowledge on the subject of competency based education and holistic assessment. Chief Advisor Honorable Chairman Dr. Vipin Ghildiyal also addressed the principals and appreciated their role. G.S. Tomar, Education Officer, gave a lecture on what are the main skills and qualities a principal should have as an effective educational leader.
Vinay Mohan Thapliyal shared information about the management of ESIC and EPF for the accounting department of the school and teachers and employees as well as about the operation of the school. After this, the education officers and heads of the accounting department of SGRR public schools of Uttarakhand hilly and Dehradun region, schools outside Uttarakhand region held detailed consultations on the subjects of the accounting department. The program was concluded by Sunil Kothari, Principal, SGRR Public School Rishikesh with a vote of thanks. Various dignitaries associated with SGRR Education Mission were present in the program.
