Dehradun: Uttaranchal Press Club delegation members paid obeisance at Sri Darbar Sahib on Tuesday. They paid a courtesy visit to Sri Darbar Sahib’s Sajjade Gaddi Nashin Srimahant Devendra Das Ji Maharaj and received his blessings. Uttaranchal Press Club President Bhupendra Kandhari and other officials honoured Srimahant Devendra Das Ji Maharaj by presenting him a memento on behalf of the Press Club for his remarkable contribution in education, health and social welfare work. On this occasion, Shrimahant Devendra Das Ji released the souvenir bouquet of Uttaranchal Press Club. During the meeting, health issues of journalists were also discussed in detail. The Press Club delegation also proposed to organize a free health camp for the Press Club members by Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital.
On Tuesday, Uttaranchal Press Club officials were welcomed as per the tradition of Shri Darbar Sahib. During the meeting with Shrimahant Devendra Das Ji Maharaj, the Press Club officials also shared the problems and challenges related to the lives of media personnel. It is noteworthy that true, fearless and pro-people journalism has always been respected. This type of journalism shines like a lighthouse.
Shrimahant Devendra Das Ji Maharaj said that media is called the fourth pillar of democracy. Journalism has been giving direction to the society since ancient times. He welcomed the Press Club delegation members and congratulated and wished the journalists for the work being done in the interest of the society.
Uttaranchal Press Club President Bhupendra Kandhari said that the institutions of SGRR Group are doing remarkable work in the interest of the society. For this, he heartily congratulated SGRR Group. He especially highlighted the services of Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital and praised the health services of the hospital.
