Dehradun: Param Vir Chakra winner Yogendra Singh Yadav bowed his head in Sri Darbar Sahib on Tuesday. He paid a courtesy visit to Sri Darbar Sahib’s Sajjade Gaddi Nashin Srimahant Devendra Das Ji Maharaj and received his blessings. Captain Yogendra Singh Yadav is the youngest Param Vir winner of the country and is a retired Indian Army officer.
He was awarded the highest Indian Army honour Param Vir Chakra for his action on 4 July 1999 during the Kargil war. He is known as a brave role model of the Indian Army among the youth of the country.
On Tuesday, according to the tradition of Shri Darbar Sahib, Paramveer Chakra winner Yogendra Singh Yadav was welcomed. During the meeting with Shrimahant Devendra Ji Maharaj, he shared his experiences related to military life. Kargil war hero Yogendra Singh Yadav is a resident of Aurangabad Ahir near Bulandshahr. During the Kargil war, 17 bullets had entered his body, but the spirit of Paramveer Yogendra Singh Yadav did not waver, how could it waver, the patriotism in his every pore was giving him courage. Yogendra Singh Rawat appealed to the youth and said that the protection of the country is paramount. The contribution of soldiers in the protection of the country is important. The borders of the country are safe only due to the courage of the soldiers. He praised the work being done in public interest by SGRR Education Mission, Shri Guru Ram Rai University and Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital.
