Dehradun. On the auspicious occasion of the birthday (Prakatsotsav, February 10) of revered Shri Mahant Devendra Das Ji Maharaj, the successor of Darbar Shri Guru Ram Rai Ji Maharaj, a massive free health checkup camp organized by Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital, Dehradun, proved to be a ray of hope for thousands of needy people. On this Seva Diwas, a total of 5,304 patients availed free general and superspecialty healthcare services. A large number of poor and helpless patients arrived at the camp, even from remote areas like Saharanpur, Bijnor, Dhampur, and Ponta Sahib, including Uttarakhand. The free health camp at Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital served as a lifeline for the poor.

At the camp held on Tuesday at the Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital campus, MRIs, CT scans, ultrasounds, X-rays, and all types of lab tests were performed completely free of charge. Significantly, more than two thousand patients received free access to expensive diagnostic services, which are typically beyond the reach of poor families. After consultations with doctors, patients were also provided with free medication for three days, providing significant relief to the economically weaker sections. Along with general medical services, all superspecialty services were also provided free of charge to the patients attending this camp. This was the first such free health checkup camp in Uttarakhand, where even expensive tests and procedures like MRI, CT scan, angiography, and angioplasty were performed completely free of charge.

Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr. Gaurav Raturi stated that, like every year, February 10th was celebrated as Seva Diwas with devotion, service, and dedication. Registration began at 8 a.m., and a large number of people began arriving at the hospital by 9 a.m. The camp continued until 3 p.m., where expert doctors examined and treated patients with utmost dedication.

The Chairman of Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital, the revered Shri Mahant Devendra Das Ji Maharaj, has a clear commitment to ensure that high-quality medical services reach even the most marginalized individuals, without discrimination. This commitment was realized in this massive free camp. Operations and other medical procedures for the patients registered at the camp were also performed completely free of charge.

Patients who returned from the camp after receiving treatment expressed their gratitude to the hospital management and said that this noble initiative was no less than a blessing for them. This Seva Diwas, organized by Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital, is not just a health camp, but a living example of humanity, compassion, and social responsibility. This event sends the message that when medical care is combined with a spirit of service, not business, the lives of even the most vulnerable in society can be made healthy and respectable.
