1,880 patients benefited from the free health camp held at Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital.

Narendra Nagar residents enthusiastically participated in the cancer awareness and health checkup camp.

A large camp was held at Sovan Singh Negi Community Hall, Narendra Nagar.

Chief Guest Subodh Uniyal, Cabinet Minister of Uttarakhand, inaugurated the camp.

Dr. Pallavi Kaul, cancer specialist at Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital, delivered a lecture on cancer awareness.

Dehradun. A cancer awareness and free health checkup camp was successfully organized on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at Sovan Singh Negi Community Hall, Narendra Nagar, courtesy of Shri Guru Ram Rai University and Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital, Dehradun. 1,880 patients benefited from the camp. Specialist doctors from the hospital provided health advice and distributed free medicines to the patients.

On Saturday, the camp was inaugurated at Sovan Singh Negi Community Hall, Narendra Nagar, by lighting a lamp by Chief Guest Subodh Uniyal, Cabinet Minister, Forest and Technology Department, Government of Uttarakhand. In his address, he stated that the Honorable Chairman of Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital, Shri Mahant Devendra Das Ji Maharaj, has a profound vision for healthcare. Expanding healthcare services in the hilly areas is the need of the hour, and the dedication with which Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital, Dehradun, is providing healthcare to the last person in society is commendable. He expressed his deep gratitude to Shri Mahant Devendra Das Ji Maharaj and praised the dedication of the hospital management and the entire team.

 

Special guest Rajendra Vikram Singh Panwar, outgoing Chairman of the Municipal Corporation of Narendra Nagar, stated that raising awareness about serious diseases like cancer is crucial, as lack of information and facilities in mountainous areas can lead to late diagnosis. He added that such camps are a powerful effort to lead society towards a healthier future. Cancer surgeon Dr. Pallavi Kaul from Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital provided information on the early symptoms of cancer, precautions and the importance of timely treatment.

 

Cancer specialist Dr. Pallavi Kaul, neurologist Dr. Sheetal Sharma, cardiologist Dr. Nitin, IVF, gynecologist Dr. Divya Agarwal, physician from the Department of Medicine Dr. Yash Agarwal, Dr. Himanshu Kumar, pediatrician Dr. Rishabh, ENT specialist Dr. Arun Manhas, Dr. Shivani Yadav from the Department of Ophthalmology, Dr. Arpita Negi from the Department of Psychiatry, Dr. Meetul Gupta from the Department of Orthopedics, Dr. Sukhwinder Singh from the Department of Surgery, Dr. Kanupriya Praliyan from the Department of Dentistry, physiotherapists Dr. Ravindra Singh, Dr. Rajneesh Chaudhary and Dr. Ativ Singh, Dr. Chitambara Joshi from the Department of Dermatology and Venereology provided medical advice to the patients.

Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital provided free ECG, blood sugar, and blood pressure tests to patients. Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital also distributed free medicines to patients.
